The subtle body
The sentence and the “how” are our words; between quotation marks, Her words, with their address.
The subtle body is the seven centres and the three channels within us, and the Kundalini, placed in the sacrum bone, which rises through the central channel; each centre shows in the physical body as a plexus.
how it works
- Seven centres, within us. “within us there are seven basic, seven basic chakras. They are subtle centers. And they express outside.” — “It's a hypothesis for you, doesn't matter.” (6788·§26, Pune, 26 December 1982)
- Where they are. “These centres are in a subtle way in our medulla oblongata or you can say the spinal cord, and some in the brain” ; “They actually represent the different milestones in your living evolutionary process.” (6630·§9, Zurich, 1 May 1980)

What She does not say
- She does not present the subtle body as something a scan can see: She puts it to scientists as “a hypothesis” to be proved by experience (6788·§26).
- That subtle body is the chakra system (6783·§5) is often quoted but is not Hers: it is the person introducing Her.
